IMMEDIATE NEED(S)

IT'S TIME TO REPLENISH OUR FOOD PANTRY AND "GOD'S CLOSET"  As the cooler months approach, it is time to restock our Food Pantry and our clothing ministry to benefit our community, and members of our church family who may have fallen on hard times.  A list of "most wanted" items for the Food Pantry can be found in the Welcome Center, but any non-perishable food items are always welcome.  "God's Closet" will be in need of fall and winter clothing, especially coats, jackets and hoodies.  Thank you for sharing from your bounty to help those in need!

Our youth depeartment is in need of TWO VACUUM CLEANERS.  Our students and staff work hard on a regular basis to keep The Loft clean for everyone -- we just need working vacuum cleaners.  If you can donate one or if you have a used one you'd like to get rid of, please bring them to the office.  

OUR KITCHEN ANGELS NEED DISHWASHERS -- THE HUMAN KIND!  Wednesday evening meals begin again THIS WEDNESDAY at 5:15, and our Angels in the Kitchen will be even more angelic if you could spare a little time after dinner on Wednesdays helping to wash dishes!  If you are looking for a place to fit, and want to meet some great people, the kitchen is where it's at!  Contact Valerie Albertson through our church office.
 
DIAPERS NEEDED Many families in our community are in need of diapers in various sizes.  If you can help, please bring your contribution by the church office.
 
PHONE VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are in need  of a few volunteers who can volunteer a half or a whole day on a rotating schedule answering phones in our church office.  If you would like to help in this area of ministry, please contact Mary Carrino or Wanda at 706-265-2612.  If no one answers...you'll see why we need your help!!

GOT BREAD??
Our Tuesday Visitation Program is an area that always needs hands and feet.  Each Tuesday evening at 6:00pm, you will meet and travel with an experienced member of our visitation team to reach out to people who have recently visited us!  This is a great way to meet newcomers to our church and our community, and you will be amazed at the blessing which will follow!  We are also in need of bread loaves that can be taken to the families that we visit.  If you enjoy baking and can support this ministry in this way, please contact Wanda in our church office, and if you'd like to join the team, please contact David Doss through our church office.

HELPING HANDS FOR TINY FINGERS
Our Preschool area is virtually overflowing with little people who need loving, patient, caring volunteers each Sunday to help show them the way to Jesus.  The more volunteers we have, the easier it is to put everyone on a rotation.  We want our children...your children...God's children...to receive the best at FBCD.  If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Mary Felson, our Preschool Director, through the church office.  Remember:  our children are our future.  What a great investment!
