THIS WEEK -- WEDNESDAY EVENING DINNERS AND AWANA KICK-OFF!
It's time to begin another exciting year of AWANA, and we'll do it in style with sno-cones, a moonwalk, a double slide and an obstacle course!  You can register your children while they're having a good time!  FIRST, join us for a wonderful dinner by our Kitchen Angels in the fellowship hall at 5:15.  Then bring your children, and their friends, to the back parking lot area at 6:15 for registration and fun!

LADIES' IN-HOME BIBLE STUDY TO BEGIN SEPTEMBER 20th All ladies of FBCD and their friends are invited to join us as we begin a new season of learning and growing in God's Word, especially as it applies to the lives of women.  Our topic is still TBA, but will be announced within the next week.  Beginning Monday, September 20th, studies will be offered in the home of Lisa Jo Cash each Monday morning at 10:00am (meet & greet begins at 9:30am), and each Monday evening in the home of Jo Strader at 7:00pm.  If you would like more information, or need directions, please contact either of us through the church office.

IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! Speaking of SINGING, our Adult Choir has begun special Sunday rehearsals for CHRISTMAS!  Join us THIS SUNDAY at 4:30 in the choir room.  It's a great time to join our choir, and we need your voice!  Music and practice schedules are available in the choir room, or contact Stan Lovell through our church office for more info. 

WE ARE EXCITED ABOUT OUR NEW PRE-TEEN WORSHIP TIME FOR KIDS IN 4TH-6TH GRADE!
"COME ALIVE" meets in The Loft each Sunday morning during the regular worship hour beginning at 11:00am.  This exciting time of worship focuses the attention of our "tweeners" on Jesus and service in His name, and combines music, ministry, and worship specifically suited to fit the needs of your pre-teen child.  All kids 4th-6th grade are encouraged to attend and bring their pre-teen friends!

WORSHIP KIDSTYLE IS BACK!  All children in grades K-3 are encouraged to join us once again each Sunday morning during our regular worship hour beginning at 11:00am for Worship KidStyle, an exciting way for little ones to sing praises, worship and learn in the Lord!  For more information on this or Come Alive, contact Steve Harmon through our church office.

IT'S TIME TO REPLENISH OUR FOOD PANTRY AND "GOD'S CLOSET"  As the cooler months approach, it is time to restock our Food Pantry and our clothing ministry to benefit our community, and members of our church family who may have fallen on hard times.  A list of "most wanted" items for the Food Pantry can be found in the Welcome Center, but any non-perishable food items are always welcome.  "God's Closet" will be in need of fall and winter clothing, especially coats, jackets and hoodies.  Thank you for sharing from your bounty to help those in need!

FIRSTEPS PRESCHOOL AREA NEEDS VOLUNTEERS Our Preschool Department is in dire need of loving volunteers to help with our rapidly growing "congregation" downstairs!  Mrs. Mary and her dedicated volunteer staff would really appreciate anyone who can devote one Sunday a month or even a couple of Sundays a YEAR in order to keep the rotating schedule turning.  If you can help, please contact Mrs. Mary (Felson) or Kristi Fulford today!

If you have lost or misplaced your Bible please stop by the church office.  We have several unclaimed Bibles that are missing their rightful owners! 

First Ladies Women's Ministry offers a Monday Mug & Muffin prayer fellowship the first Monday of each month at 8:30am in the Bridal Suite (located in the Narthex).  This event is open to all ladies in our church and our community.

Men's Fellowship Breakfast takes place at Ryan's Restaurant at Hwy 53 and 400 each Tuesday morning from 7:30-8:30am.  Cost is $6.00, tip included.  This breakfast is open to the men of our church and our community. 

Our eMail Prayer Chain is open to all members of our church who desire to pray immediately and specifically for urgent needs as they are received.  To sign up for this vital ministry, please contact Anne Tarver through our church office or reference our church bulletin or newsletter for Anne's e-mail address.

If you would like to place flowers on the altar at any time this year in honor or memory of a loved one, please contact Frankie Talton through our church office.
