First Kids Children's Ministry
First Kids is focused on continuing to build the foundations of faith that are started in First Steps. It is during the early grade school years that children learn that God is not just a friend, but that He loves them personally. They begin to understand He is part of their everyday life and decision-making.
Worship Kidstyle - A Total Sunday Morning Experience!
This is where fun and laughter collide with real adult relationships and deep learning. With all the heart of Sunday School, and a challenge and energy that kids need, Worship KidStyle deepens a child’s faith and builds a foundation for later life.
Age level classes during the first hour build relationships while learning about God. Marlene Moers and a volunteer staff of magnificent teachers cheerfully guide our K-4th grade students through each Sunday morning, using age appropriate curriculum & personal understanding to lead children into a greater understanding of how God loves us all, how we can all have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and how to read and apply God's Word.
During the first hour our new Grapple group reaches preteen grades 5 and 6. Children 10 to 12 are too old for children's Sunday School, but too young for youth. They need Grapple - the Sunday School curriculum that answers real life preteen questions and tackles the issues preteens care about most!
In the second hour, we lift hands and hearts to Him. Attention-holding life application videos teach children about the wonder of who He is. Creative crafts and cool arts bring focus to the Creator. And Bible skill games teach the Word in fresh ways. Children in K-3rd are invited to attend, while 4th through 6th Graders are invited to be a part of our new Come Alive Ministry. Come Alive meets in the loft at 11:00 am.
Your kids won't want to miss this energetic and creative total Sunday morning experience.
Grapple Sunday Mornings are all new for our 5th & 6th grade students as they move from Children’s Ministry to Youth Ministry. Preteens are a moving target. Kids 10 to 12 are too old for children's Sunday school, but too young for youth. They need Grapple - the Sunday school curriculum that answers real-life preteen questions and tackles the issuespreteens care about most! With this new small-group format students will still have the ever important relationship with a caring adult in a small-group context, but added to it is an all new class specific website designed just for our students. Preteens vote on what games to play, find clues on the topic for their next discussion time, play computer games, have online discussions with classmates, and complete a Grapple Challenge! All the web content is controlled by our small-group leaders and never leads to another website, so your preteen’s online safety is never a problem. With Grapple students are challenged, loved, and engaged at their own level - every week!
Come Alive Our worship time for preteens (4th-6th grade) is focused on each student developing a habit of personal ministry. We’ll begin each week with active and exciting worship, and review our first hour main points. Then each week we’ll connect to a 3-6 week mission project. Need Bibles in your own language? We can help with that! A local organization needs support from the community? Preteens to the rescue! A mix of local, national, and international mission projects connect our kids to their community, and God’s story of redemption and repair around the world. By finding our place in God’s story we discover how to really Come Alive!
